Sangha

सत्संगत्वे निस्संगत्वं, निस्संगत्वे निर्मोहत्वं।
निर्मोहत्वे निश्चलतत्त्वं, निश्चलतत्त्वे जीवन्मुक्तिः ॥९॥

Satsangatve nissangatvam nissangatve nirmohatvam,
nirmohatve niscalatattvam niscalatattve jivanmuktiH.- ॥9॥

Through the company of the wise or the good, there arises non-attachment; from non-attachment comes freedom from delusion; where there is freedom from delusion, there is abidance in self-knowledge, which leads to freedom while alive.

Satsang is the foundation for improving the quality of our adhyatmic life & life in general. What is Satsang? There are three substances in this world—Ishvara, Jiva and Prakriti—sat. Where these three are understood and lived well, it is called satsang. Association of noble and sattvik people, satsang of excellent books, association of dharmic and religious atmosphere, all this comes under satsang. Satsang is as essential for our life as food is for the body. By eating food, we fulfill the needs of the body, but the soul, which is the owner of this body, does nothing for its satisfaction and is very volatile in nature.

The food of the soul is satsang. It makes the mind pristin and peaceful. It removes evil thoughts and sins from the mind. As great poet Bharathi rightly says about company of wise people, ‘Satsangat removes stupidity (while wise share their wisdom), communicates truth in speech(helps improve our virtue). It increases honor and respect, generates happiness in the mind and radiates fame in the directions’.

In fact, Satsangti benefits human beings in every way. Just as we pour milk in some quantity to clean the stain of sugar syrup, similarly we participate in satsang to improve our approach to life with clarity and firmness.

A person is known by the company he/she keeps, afterall. Scholars believe that wisdom is easily awakened through satsang. It is only when the conscience is awakened that it can be known what is good and what is bad. What is moral and what is immoral?

Our endeavor is to make available the ambiance of satsang where free dharmic thoughts and age old wisdom can be shared through various platforms and programs.
